Eliza A.Van Es - "Release"

Eliza has been painting and designing for the past 20 years. He credits the majority of his expression to the self-taught method, gaining formal training both privately and at the Ontario College of Art & Design.

Eliza's current series "Release" spans the past 4 years of his life, following it's many journeys from the blissfully serene to the deathly painful - an expression of reality as it is, as it was, and as it might be. As in life, his works involve a spontaneous approach to layering, rich with vibrant colors and textures. He utalizes a range of media including watercolors, oils, acrylics and multi-media.

Among many, Eliza's eclectic passions include a personal clothing line, interior decorating and floral design.
